Donations

We are grateful for your tithes, offerings and special gifts, and we believe giving is an act of worship.  In addition to pledges for our operations which are always most needed, St. Andrew has special restricted funds to which you may also give, such as the Endowment Fund, Scholarship Fund, the Haley Borton Children's fund,  Memorial Fund, Library Memorial Fund, for our mission projects or to special advances of the United Methodist Church. These include: Peace with Justice Sunday, One Great Hour of Sharing, and others.   For these gifts, we suggest that you contact the church office so that we know of your intentions.

  • On-line:
St. Andrew's finance & stewardship committees appreciates those who set up the church in their own on-line banking system and sets the system for automatic payments.  It is a great help that we receive pledges or gifts even when you are away as our expenses to operate the ministries continue!  Also see the "donate button" below to make a contribution now.  When you make a donation on-line, you may also want to print out information to place in the offering plate or fill out an on-line giving notice in the pew rack so that your gift may be consecrated along with the others on the altar during worship. However, it is not necessary for you to mail or provide a notice for any other reason than as an act of worship in order for our financial secretary to record your gift.

NOTE:  By using the on-line donation button option thru our PayPal account, the church will incur a fee of approximately 3.5% on your contribution. If you would like to make a slightly larger donation to assist in covering our fees, it would be appreciated!  For example, we are charged $1.75 for a $50 donation. And approximately $50 for $1500.  Thank you!

  • Stock, Mutual Funds & Investment Securities:
We also are happy to accept stock contributions and ask that you first contact us so that we may provide you with the information to have the security directly transferred to our stock professional.
  • Giving Unneeded Life Insurance:
Do you own an old life insurance policy that is no longer needed? Perhaps the purpose for the policy no longer exists (your children are grown or your mortgage is paid off) or your financial situation has changed and mitigates the need for insurance. Consider giving the policy to the church and receive a charitable income tax deduction for the lesser of your cost basis or the replacement value. This is a great way to benefit the church without reducing your checking account. If the value is more than you wish to donate, consider cashing in your policy and giving a lesser portion. Your gift may sufficiently reduce or eliminate any potential taxes from the sale. (From the General Board of Discipleship - www.gbod.org/stewardship)
Of course, you will want to consult with your legal and/or tax advisor.  Please advise the church office of your plans to be sure you are properly credited. We have had others who have donated their life insurance in the past and it has been a blessing for both the individual and also for the church!
  • Donate to our Operating Budget Now:
You may use the donate button, a secure PayPal system, to make a donation with your credit card, bank debit card or using PayPal.  At this time, the donate button is only for our Operating Budget which undergirds all of our ministries. You may select any amount.   Watch for the "Donation Information" option.  Please use the drop-down arrow to open the comment box and give us your giving ID number and any special info, just as you would on the note line of a check you are writing!  Again,, the church incurs a fee for donations through the website. Any additional donation to cover the fee is appreciated!

Thank you for your support.

On-line Giving Cards are available in the sanctuary pew racks should you like to complete one,
place it in the offering plate, and have your gift consecrated during worship.
It is not necessary for you to mail or provide a notice for any other reason than as an
act of worship in order for our financial secretary to record your gift.
